Snow, ice, and bitter cold rained down on the City of Dallas last week it what has been labeled the coldest storm of the 21st century for the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas area; Tweets and Facebook statutes of irritated Texans trapped in their homes for days dubbed it #Snowpocalypse and even, #Snowmaggeddon 2011. By Friday, the temperature fell to 20 degrees and the City of Dallas received 5 inches of snow between Thursday night and Friday morning. Business and schools were closed and there were multiple reported car accidents from the icy roads leading up to the storm. Although other cities in Texas, like San Antonio and Houston, suffered from the blizzard, no city was hit as harsh as the DFW area. Additionally, the Love Field Airport was closed down and 300 flights were cancelled at DFW International.
